Cost of ownership

Are you building/buying/flying an Experimental Amateur-Built (E-AB) or Experimental Light Sport (E-LSA) aircraft? Converting an S-LSA to E-LSA? Changing or adding equipment, or otherwise modifying an S-LSA? Need help with Letters of Authorization? Or maybe designing your own aircraft? This forum is the place to discuss All Things Experimental.

Data point #1: There are still aluminum and tube & fabric planes flying along quite nicely after 50 or more years.

Data point #2: I've heard tell of a 2007 CT with fiberglass issues. Ugly ones.

Not dissing the CT, but newer is not always better and older is not always junk.

Not to mention the cost to repair that CT will probably be enough to buy a really nice tube & fabric airplane.

"Phase Separation is a non issue..."

CTLSi is both an E10 user and also in denial. Let's let him be both 'Right' and a crowd of one...
