Skyleader 600

Talk about airplanes! At last count, there are 39 (and growing) FAA certificated S-LSA (special light sport aircraft). These are factory-built ready to fly airplanes. If you can't afford a factory-built LSA, consider buying an E-LSA kit (experimental LSA - up to 99% complete).

Skyleader 600

Does anybody have any opinions about the Skyleader 600? Czech built. Very impressive glide ratio and very roomy cabin with a cabin width of 50 inches. Seems similar to Bristell but without the huge price. Around $180,000 fully loaded. With parachute. Not sure about avionics.

I did look into that plane back in 2017 but the biggest, issue imho is very small number of planes registered in US - there are total of 5 planes according to FFA record …

If I were to order a Czech low wing , for purely practical reasons, I would go for something that has significant presence in this country like SportCruiser, Bristell , Evektor or Sting ( which I did purchase )

It's a really nice plane. One very important feature is the huge flaps, which makes it easier to slow down and land compared to some LSA. Also the cabin is very roomy and well finished. The company seems very strong and has been around for many years. I'm actually considering buying one, since my original desired planes (Sling 2 and Sting S4) have jumped in price to close to 1/4 million.
