One nice thing about the CT line is that all the controls except the rudder pedals are pretty well sealed up.
That's a good thing.

My Citabrias had leather or vinyl boots around the stick bases to avoid this sort if thing.

But one time I was demonstrating a spin to a passenger in the back, and after the requisite number of turns I went to pop the stick forward and it was jammed all the way back. I kind of forced it and it popped free, but it was about the worst feeling one can have in a plane.

What had happened? My parachutes had a chest strap, and the passenger's was apparently loose enough it had ridden down over the top of the rear stick. Yikes!

Little things, like an insulin pump or a water bottle or a hockey puck antenna or a parachute chest strap can kill if one isn't careful

Back when I was struggling with my training, I took 8 hours of instruction in a ratty 152. I was on short final and realized I only had about half the rudder throw I was supposed to have. I landed fine and the instructor called for a touch-and-go. I said no, full stop. Taxied off the runway and found a strip of carpet wrapped around my foot and rudder pedal.

One more Citabria story.

Sightseeing with a passenger along Miami Beach. Probably below 1,200' or so.

Suddenly appear to lose all power.

Look for a spot, start by carb heat on, clear throttle...

....hmm - throttle was at idle. Problem solved. Whew!

Oh...why did the throttle go to idle? Passenger's headset cord had wrapped around the rear throttle lever on the left rear sidewall, and when they turned to look at something it pulled it back to idle.

Fly long enough, and one's list of "interesting" stories is bound to grow!

One reason tandem seat airplanes have a bit less appeal to me and side-by-side...you can't see what the "other guy" is doing back there!
