The officials at Sun-n-Fun are certain that they will host the event this year. It is planned for April 13-18, 2021. See https://flysnf.org/ for details and to purchase admission.

I don't think there will be a competition, but there are going to be demonstrations. They will take place in the Paradise City area on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday at approximately 6:00pm (following the end of the airshows).

There was a big National STOL Competition in December in Lakeland for STOL drags. It was dubbed the "flying festival and car show" and was held the first week of December so I don't know if they'll be doing this again at SNF or not.

With just about every YouTube flying video being about STOL-ish attempts at landing at a mountain or a river sandbar or whatever , I think it actually would be refreshing to see a proper landing on a honest to God, 3000 feet long concrete runway ..
