Accelerated training

Finally, a place for sport pilot instructors and/or wannabees to talk about instructing.

How do you feel about accelerated flight training courses?

I'm a big believer, and offer such training

I agree but........

Being in a synergistic group doesn't defy physics and cause the brain to be able to drink from a firehose.

The machine called the human brain, and that 1.3 + 1.3 is SET IN STONE!

Military OR civilian. Any more and YOU'RE WASTING YOUR TIME AND MONEY!

Even the most brilliant and tenacious person's performance tumbles off a cliff at 1 hour+18 minutes+1 second! (JOKE)

Of course everyone is a LITTLE different but the GENERAL rule is that to be most effective, most efficient, and have the best retention, limit flying to 3 hours or less per day, in a morning and afternoon session.

I've been providing accelerated training for Sport, Private and Instrument for years now tiht great success. I dare say that the intensively trained pilots are better than the once every 2 weeks pilots. I've had 4 sport pilots finish this month, each took less than 10 days, scored 90+ on their written tests, and sailed through the checkride. The quality of the instruction is more important than the duration.
