SWEET! setup. Must be an amazing sim experience.

My 32" curved monitor arrived today, a couple PC upgrades and rudder pedals will arrive before the week is out. Looking on YouTube there are a couple of EXTREME flight simmers who have purt near a full-boat 172 or 737 cockpit in their game cave - lol

Discretionary big bucks a wonderful thing I'm told. lol I stopped imagining such a setup here in my bungalow when I found out how much three 55" gaming monitors cost. LOL
The great thing about VR is you can do away with a lot of the sim hardware. If you have a good stick and throttle, all the other switches and controls are at your virtual fingertips. I never realized how annoying the switch locations for lights are on a 172 until I had to find them under the yoke and flip them in VR...

And VR is cheap too...a good VR headset is only about $350 these days.

Just a quick pic of the new setup - Acer 31.5" HD curved screen, a new budget HP gaming desktop and Thrustmaster rudder pedals to boot. It REALLY feels like flying now. PLUS in FSX-SE with my Chicago add-on scenery pack I can still fly out of our beloved and sadly long departed Merrill C. Meigs Field Airport (ICAO: KCGX)

THANK YOU my fellow citizens (and myself-lol), Congress and POTUS. Without that Covid stimulus money, this would still be a retired geezer's unattainable fantasy.

Looks really good, Randy. Maybe you could rent out time on that for frustrated wannabees that can't get their fix with all the flying schools closed.
