Several members here sell LSA, or teach sport pilots. Some of the FBO or flight school folks here say they're filled with new sport pilot students coming in for instruction.
But we've only got a few sport pilot students active here on the forum. As far as I know, this is the only forum actually created for sport pilots.
I've looked at AOPA forums, StudentPilot, and PilotsOfAmerica forums, and find very little Sport Pilot activity.
For the guys who teach all those sport pilot students: what on-line forums do all those students use?
Thanks.

I have about 9hrs in a J3 Cub...that's the only official flight time I have in any airplane. Doing it the old-fashioned way.
I put the whole training on hold as I am currently hunting down a few PA-11s for sale in the area. I intend to finish training in my own airplane rather than pay someone else.
I have yet to meet any other sport pilots....got lots of negative response to the sport pilot rule in my area.
good luck!

I became a sport pilot in Oct 2008 if I can say just one thing to asperiering Sport
Pilots out their,I learned everything I could from my home airport and got all my requirements for the sport pilot done and then I was honest with myself that I was ready
I had my written test done, I found a flight school that has graduated recent sport pilots
Most local schools will press you to go for the private because they have not studied
The sport rules and want to get you for the added training. I Drove 500 miles to North Carolina to Blue Ridge Sport Flight I only flew for 3 hours to show proficiency
They checked that all my logs were in order, asked me a lot of questions as to my knowledge, gave me a lot of info to study about the Sport pilot I was never told from my home airport.
I studied it all in my hotel room, they made an appointment with the examiner, I got to fly my planned Cross-country in reverse on the way to the check ride I passed with flying colors. All within 4 days I became a Sport Pilot. I own an Aeronca L-16 started in a J3 Cub and now have about 200 hours tailweel time 300 total and plan to get my private
In 2009 don’t wast time if your honestly ready just get it done they will help.
