Re: New Member from GA
Welcome ironnerd, please share what you plan on building. An old hangar buddy I had a few years ago had a E-AB RV-12. I do like your group that you are a member of in Georgia, we need something like like here in my area to gather some like minded people together.

Re: Sport plot and carrying your log book
I have my endorsements in PDF format on my phone in Adobe Acrobat and my logbook in the cloud with access from my phone. This would work as "other evidence". Paper is a thing of the past.

In "gov speak" that's what they call kicking the can down the road.

Avionics for sale
I'm finally starting my panel upgrade in my 2007 SportCruiser and I'm pulling avionics now. I have the following avionics for sale and these items are listed on Barnstormers also. Garmin GTR-200 COM radio with built in 2 place intercom - $850 Garmin GDL-82 ADS-B out - $1400 Garmin GDL-39-3D ADS-B in...

Re: Legitimate aviation companies?
I think I saw this plane or one with the same design in Sebring a few years ago but it was not part of the show.

Re: Rotax prices? Am I missing something?
That's clearly a scam. No way to contact other than email and no info on location. The registrar is in Malaysia, are you sure you want to send them your money? The website still has placeholders on some of the pages. Several misspellings and grammatical errors, good luck. You've been warned.

Re: Hal effect current sensor
As JJay stated the yellow wires are unregulated A/C voltage going to the voltage regulator. You want to measure DC current being pulled from the battery to monitor the drain on the system so the sensor is already mounted in the correct place. Not sure why you want to measure the current coming out o...

Re: Loose trim tab actuator during ferry flight
It appears that the servo trim motor has come loose from its mount. You'll have to drill out those 7 perimeter rivets on the plate that holds the trim servo. Then you can drop it out of the elevator and see what came loose. I'd suggest some nut plates instead of rivets on the reinstall so it's easie...

Re: Hello from Florida
Hello and welcome Skydreams. I'm also in Florida, Clearwater to be exact. My plane is in Zephyrhills and they have a big (and busy) skydive school there as well. Seems like they are always in the air over the airport. Where are you located? This is helpful info for others to recommend a flying club ...

Re: HELLOOO Sport Pilots!
Welcome to the forum Rocky. I agree with Dave and I would suggest that you first define your mission and then buy a plane that suits that mission. Don't buy one based on price, reviews on forums or YouTube or how sexy it is. If the plane does not fit your mission it's useless. BEW is a huge consider...

Re: E-LSA with new prop: Re-enter Phase 1?
I was told by a local DAR and confirmed with my local FSDO that If the manufacturer of this LSA also sells the plane with the Sensenich prop then you would not have to go back to Phase 1 testing because it's already been done by the manufacturer. My SportCruiser has been sold by the manufacturer wit...

Re: Skyranger knowledge & experience?
There's a guy at my airport who also owns and flies a SkyRanger. He also had something to do with importing or distribution if I remember correctly. He said they built about 20 of them back in the day. It has a 912UL on it and I just fabricated a new instrument panel for it to update all the old ste...
