The goal

Keep flying and keep talking with your instructor. Make sure you understand what skills still need refinement for solo. Even after solo you will need dual time to prepare for the exam so you can still be working toward that goal even now when flying dual. Try for some calm wind spring days and see i...

I would love an A5. However, I am worried the weight may not allow enough range.

Ercoupe

I am curious about the Ercoupe as an LSA. What is empty weight?

Fuel capacity?

Cruise speed?

Fuel burn at cruise in GPH?

Can anybody who has time on both enlighten me on the handling differences on the LS? In particular landing characteristics.

Check ride

I passed the check ride. I am sure that is behind me. Now I just need to keep flying and keep learning.

Can't fly a forecast

Had to cancel the check ride today. Taf reports looked very favorable. Unfortuately, the clearing line decided to wait. Oh well. Good practice for cross country planning and a chance to mentally run through everything.

Hope t,o get another chance in the next few days.

Too big..... Maybe not

Check with some schools that have side by side trainers like a CT. You may be able to stay within weight, fuel and CG requirements.

Don't give up.

Count Down to checkride

7 days to go.

Feel pretty ready.

Flew today and everything went well. Two more short sessions then the big day.

Lsa instrument requirement

I thought the current LSA rules now require some specifically logged training on instruments before taking the check ride.

I asked my instructor and he says no.

Please clarify.

Cramming

Talk with your instructor and develop a plan you both feel will accomplish your goal.

Yes, passing is a goal. However, it is just a milepost on the journey.
