Re: Has this ever happened to you?

The spring is stock Rotax. Any other things like wire tires to hold the carb on is not necessary. If the carb is fully seated in the flange and the clamp is tightened it WILL NOT come out even if you push it. They will only come out if improperly installed.

Re: Has this ever happened to you?

This only happens when the carbs and not pushed forcibly back into the rubber socket. You should feel and here click or a popping into a curve type sound and feel it. If the carb is properly seated into the flange and the clamp tightened you can't even shove it out. I have seen several people push a...

Re: Ground power ?

Yes. I always hook up the battery with a charger and plug in my computer when I do updates. This is usually recommended by the instrument factory. If one fails mid stream you may be sending the instrument back to the factory. Better safe than sorry.

Re: Carb line leaking fuel

Oetiker and fuel injection screw clamp like the one in the previous post are both considered band clamps and are good choices for fuel hose. Do not use the Ace hardware serrated worm drive clamps on oil and fuel hose. Usually for 1/4: hose I use 13.3 or 13.5mm and 5/16" I use 14.5 or 14.7mm Oet...

"The 912ULS internal alternator is rated at only 15 amps. That's probably not enough current to power the dual glass panels, GPS, transponder, intercom and autopilot, so your plane probably has the 20 amp auxiliary generator installed as well." Hi Paul, The internal generator is rated at 2...

Re: AMPs

Amperage can vary. It may swing from -3 to + 6. I most likely won't be steady and that's okay. So long as it doesn't go way plus or way minus and stay there then all is good. Most are in the fluctuations of -2 to +4.

Re: Carb line leaking fuel

It does look like it's coming from the Banjo bolt area. There are three crush washers for that fitting. Many either drop one or put two on top of each other. I would take the Banjo bolt out and check the crush washers. It could also be that it just needs tightening. If these are the cause then the c...

Re: Carb synch

The cable stop is only on planes that have no other stop. Many planes have stops in the cockpit throttle system. Most of these brass cable stops are on planes with a vernier type throttle. That type has no stop so the pilot can easily pull back too hard and bend the carb idle stop screw plate. It ca...

Re: Carb synch

Regardless of which carb sync tool you use my point was the brass cable stop needs to be loosened and back away to properly set the idle otherwise it keeps you from lowering the idle on either carb that you may need to adjust. Then once you're done slide it back in place and lock it down.

Re: Carb synch

When syncing the brass cable stop should be slid back about 1/2” to get it out of the way or it will interfere with the idle setup. Once idle is synced then you move it back up to the stop and tighten the Allen screw. This keeps you from over powering the cable pull and bending the idle stop screw p...

4 weeks to go and seats are in short supply. Good hands on for completing and understanding annuals. Make sure you tell CPS this is the Tucson, AZ class.

Re: Great S-LSA Support

Batteries aren't a big deal, but Technically any mods are supposed to be tested by the factory to certify them on their aircraft configuration. Just signing things off could have unexpected consequence should anything happen.
