That plane always intrigued me. Is it stable, fun to fly, economical, powerful, twitchy, hard to land? I've always looked at it and wondered.

I flew a kit built Sky Arrow a number of years ago. It was a joy to fly, and the set up, tandem seating, side hinged canopy, side stick, and pusher configuration, make you feel like you are flying a fighter jet. The visibility from the front seat was phenomenal. The one I flew handled great, and was a piece of cake to land.

I really liked the plane, and if I just wanted a plane for local fun flying, it certainly met the mission. However, I wanted to do more cross-country traveling with a passenger, and the tandem seating, lack of baggage space, and low cruise speed, were drawbacks.

Looking at it, I can imagine needing to fly nose partially down to level the wings. Was it much, or just slightly?
Gotta say it stops me every time I walk past it at the shows.

The airplanes are very easy to fly. The looks are different, which is why they are such a big attraction. Something total different than what people typically fly...
