Beginning ultralight pilots don't need to go elsewhere. Here is a very rich place of diverse experience for them to gain knowledge and get their questions answered.
Who knows, the next self-taught ultralight pilot may be a Captain at Delta or the next PIC of Air Force One, in the next 15 or 20 years.
Then, don't come on here and criticize people for trying to answer the OP's questions. And don't call us elitest for not getting involved in a discussion of ultralights. You weren't involved in the discussion and if you read it, you MIGHT see that is was somewhat confusing trying to figure out exactly what the OP was asking. Nobody involved in the discussion brought up the topic of ultralights or teaching yourself to fly an ultralight. All of us were under the impression he wanted to get a Sport Pilot certificate, ie. Zenith 701 and Cherokee.
