Sport Pilot Talk

I am currently working towards my SPL and wanted to let people in my area who are considering going for their SPL that Paul Hamilton in Carson City is a great instructor. I got the opportunity to go up the other day in a different plane with a different instructor and soon realized that not all instructors are the same. I am enjoying this experience and feel comfortable that my instructor will bail me out if I mess up badly. So far no bad screw ups just minor ones. Like accidently changing the radio channel when pushing in the throttle for a go around oops. But, even with those mistake Paul is so good at being an instructor and helping you instead of making you feel like an idiot. I just wanted others in the area who may be thinking of going for their SPL that Paul Hamilton is a good choice for an instructor.

And no he does not know I am writing this. And I don't think I will get a discount for giving him a good review.

Finding the right instructor makes all the difference. When I formerly took lessons in NY, I took one lesson with another flight school because I was frustrated at my slow progress.

After one flight at the new school, I never went back. The instructor was reckless, and seemed more concerned about getting time in the air, than being safe.

He later went down with a student in a thunderstorm, and both lost their lives.
