SportPilotTalk.com is the discussion forum for sport pilots and light-sport aircraft.  The FAA's new rule, in effect since September 2004, created a new pilot certificate dubbed the "sport pilot" that makes learning to fly easier and more affordable that ever before.  The new rule also created a new category of aircraft - light sport aircraft - which has introduced a new fleet of modern, affordable sport aircraft.  Now, learning to fly is no more expensive than a small motorcycle, boat or pop-up camper!
