I have been wondering what has happened to sales and prices of various models of LSA's in this down economy.
The LSA distributers/dealers must have unsold new aircraft on their ramps.
I know that new cars are available for much less than a year ago.
Cessna has cut prices to the bone on used Jet aircraft.
Most used aircraft have dropped 15-25% in price.
How about new and used LSA's?
What sort of discount from list should you expect on a new LSA?
Anyone have any HARD information?
As far as I know, there is no "bluebook" on LSA's nor any reliable sale price information.

well. im an Aircraft Salesman for US Aviation Group out of denton texas.
last year was hard, VERY HARD. BUT seems to have turned around. we've sold 3 remos gx, 3 Tecnam Sierra's, 2 Bravo's, and brokered a few for some other people. all of those were sold since Jan. im working on selling our last sierra. should be gone within 2 weeks.

LSA's have really kinda held their price.

Thanks for the input.
I am glad your year has been so successful.
I suspect that others have not had it so good.
The good get going!

Aircraft, cars, boats, RVs, etc are really consumer driven these days. First figure out what manufacturer and model you need/want to fill the mission you have, and the price range you want to spend. Then go make offers. Worst anyone can say is no, but I think that you will be surprised.

Edit: Actually, several of the top tier LSA manufacturers are in the Blue Book Price Digest along with the GA manufacturers.

Thats goog advice.
I am trying to find out what is a "fair" offer considering the market state.
No matter what anyone says, I think the economy is still in the tank.

to be honest. we are going to work with our customers. even if we don't make what we want, its the customer we want. you keep them happy and hope for the return.
granted were not going to loose our shorts on any deal. but there is always room to work.
