Ground adjustable prop?

Talk about airplanes! At last count, there are 39 (and growing) FAA certificated S-LSA (special light sport aircraft). These are factory-built ready to fly airplanes. If you can't afford a factory-built LSA, consider buying an E-LSA kit (experimental LSA - up to 99% complete).

Ground adjustable prop?

Post by ScottyB »

IVO sells Prop that is in flight adjustable;
Could that prop be used in a light sport plane if the adjustment switch was located in the engine compartment. Not accessible to the pilot in flight?
Could be used a static adjustment...

We've had planes receive their E-LSA airworthiness by doing just that. The rules only state that it be ground adjustable... doesn't need to be a "manual" adjustment.. the electric one is fine, as long as you can only adjust it while on the ground
