Son's first flight
Managed to get in .6 today in between frontal passages. It was my son's first flight with me at the controls. He was very well behaved and I was super nervous, but it went great! My wife snapped a few pics.

Just FYI, he was belted in, the old Cessna only has lapbelts in the rear...

Re: Son's first flight
He's 4 and can follow instructions pretty well. I also had the com hooked up to isolate me if it got complicated, which it did not thankfully. I wanted to fly for an hour to a neighboring airport, but I cut the flight short because information I got from the weather briefer did not match conditions. Clouds moved in faster than originally predicted, called up flight services in route, they were saying I should be in clear skies the entire way, but I was looking at a wall of clouds at 2800' in front of me. I turned back, no reason to chance it...

That was entirely the right call, Ed! And, from his grin, I'd say you should start saving up right now for your son's lessons.

What a handsome little guy.
Maybe you have a future Delta pilot in the making there.
