Although that would definitely help my cash flow, it's inconsistent with my educational philosophy. The purpose of ground instruction is not to pass the written (that can easily be accomplished through self-study), but rather to reinforce flight training. That's why I integrate it into the flying curriculum, and tailor each ground lesson to the particular phase of flight being taught.TimTaylor wrote:offer an option to students to do their ground school in the winter, pass the written, then do flight training in spring, summer, and fall.
For any plane used in commercial service, the condition inspection has to be done every 100 hours. So, I do several per year, and can't seem to figure out how to make them all come due during the winter. Also, make sure your routine maintenance and annuals fall in the winter.
