Anyone had experience with Lanier Flight Center?

Sport aviation is growing rapidly. But the new sport pilot / light-sport aircraft rules are still a mystery to many flight schools and instructors. To locate a flight school offering sport pilot training and/or light-sport aircraft rentals, click on the "Flight School And Rental Finder" tab above. This is a great place to share ideas on learning to fly, flight schools, costs and anything else related to training.

Just curious has anyone had any training experiences positive or negative with Lanier Flight Center in Atlanta?

I rent SkyCatchers from Lanier at PDK and GVL. Great outfit, great people.

I love it. I also fly a Remos GX and it sucks compared to the SkyCatcher.

I trained there and rented their 162 for nearly 5 years before I bought my own plane. Great outfit! Feel free to give me a call with any questions. PM sent.

By the way, LFC is down to one Skycatcher now as a result of the storms on Tuesday night. PS - I did my first solo and my checkride in this plane.

Yep, I was supposed to go up this Saturday and got a call from them that it was totalled in the storm.

FYI, Lanier bought back the carcass and is using it for spare parts on the remaining SkyCatcher. They're also looking to buy another one.

Late to the conversation but I'm training at KGVL with Rick. I have nothing but good things to say about Rick or Lanier. Planes are in great shape and the staff bends over backward to make everything perfect.
