After using Pledge on windows for decades, I find this works even better:
Works equally well for spot detailing.

Composi Clean PH neutral for the skin. saves the paint and composites.
Oil Eater for oily areas. Best I have ever found. oily residue runs off before you can get a rag on it.
210 window cleaner. It polishes while you clean the windows. Easy to wipe off. My 2006 CTSW windows look brand new. No scratches. I use it on my Honda Goldwing motorcycle windshield too.

Plexus for windows and canopy.
Prolong Super Protectant for the rest. It's PH neutral as well (7.3) and runs around $8.

Ahh... buying cleaning products as anticipation grows for delivery?

I found water and residue causes more problems than anything.
Spray and wipe cleaning products are best.
+1 on the 210 Plasic Cleaner for Plexi.

Corrosion X for all exposed metal hardware, the motor and motor compartment (applied with small brush). Especially great if you fly in humid and/or seashore areas.
It's anti-corrosion formula designed for and used on aircraft carriers, better than the "pink stuff".
I believe Tecnam actually had a service bulletin to apply anti-corrosion to certain flight control hardware. (Check)
Doesn't harm anything.
You will smell it cooking off the motor for the first few flights, but it seemingly penetrates the metal for protection. Keeps your metal looking new. I wish that I put it on my plane and motor immediately!

I used to Mfg. dive compressors that float on the water. Corrosion-X is a good product, but it tends to stay wet and collects dust and will migrate off things like the metal prop hub.
We preferred Boshield T9. It is made for Boeing aircraft company to stop corrosion. Goes on clear an wet, but drys in a few minutes, completely blocks moisture and stays where you spray it. It stays clear. I have been using it for 20 years.
We use it anytime we are around humid climates, rain or saltwater.
Try it, you'll like it better.

I keep a small rag dampened with Corrosion-X handy at all times when doing my annual.
I try to lightly wipe done every aluminum surface I can reach.
After 8 years, most of those surfaces look essentially brand new.
I'm sure there are other products that could accomplish the same thing, but a single can on Corrosion-X goes a loooong way. It's about the only aviation-specific cleaning/maintaining product I use.

Agreed Corrosion X stays wet and collects dust, especially around motor crevices.
Maybe try Roger's Bioshield T9 product, especially if you are putting it on a clean motor that has had nothing on it. I'm not sure it would hold over my existing residue from Corrosion X.

It all works great. Many folks are using NuFinish for doing a full wax job.

Easy to apply and protects.
"Composi-Clean" for post flight cleanup of leading edges, prop and fairings. Cleans the bugs off and leaves a thin protective coating.

Wash Wax All, from Aerocosmetics has been my product of choice. Spray/Wipe. Works GREAT. There are several products in the line.
