Fly-Ins are excuses for pilots to go somewhere and eat. Airplanes. Food. What else could you ask for? Know of an upcoming fly-in? A great $100 hamburger? Don't keep it a secret. Share it here!

Ditto!

We can all try death-defying "Impossible Turns"!

At altitude, of course!

I finally got to the airfield late this afternoon but as Jim said, though mild, it was iffy. Quite a bit of scud around 2800-3400 feet.

I got an hour in flying just locally and returned with a whiff of fuel smell, which likely means the right carb may have an issue with a float.
I'll be getting together with my mechanic ASAP to sort it out.

We already replaced a sunken float on the other carb as per the recent Rotax SB. Fortunately I was able to buy 4 new (old style) floats and some gaskets.

There are some South Carolina Breakfast Club events coming up at KSPA Dec 14th, Twin Lakes airpark S17 Dec 28th (near KAIK) through the end of the year and I believe KAIK Aiken on Jan 4th. Not far from the GA border for you foreigners! I'm going to try and go weather permitting. I haven't been to one yet but they're open to all, only rule is fly safe and expect breakfast to cost $8 to $10 served around 9am I believe. Last one had 40+ airplanes from twins to Stearman to LSAs.

http://www.flyscbc.com for more info.

I've seen a few LSAs on their videos including a couple of Sport Cruisers. Quite a lot of pilots have come up to me and had a long look at the RV-12 and many have questions about Light Sport so it would be cool to have an LSA contingent.

Not sure about trying Eddie's 'Impossible turns' I think I rather prefer 'POSSIBLE turns'.

It'd be cool to sit, with a bowl of popcorn, and watch some BRS parachute deployments though!! Spot landings?

I may try to make the 12/14 KSPA. I have yet to do one of the breakfast club days, but have many people at KCUB that go all the time.
