Is anybody from this illustrious group attending Sebring this year?

If so would you be able to post your thoughts on the show?

Thanks in advance.

I'm in Ocala right now; heading to Sebring in the AM. I'll post my impressions to the EXPO thread of these forums.

I'll be there Thursday. Driving over :( {Unless someone is passing thru COI in the AM and returning in the afternoon?)

Karen and I hope to make it down Friday, with the main visit on Sat. Staying with friends with a strip near Lake Placid.

We were going to head down tomorrow, but we have a sick dog and we're keeping an eye on her.

Best laid plans, and all that...

The Pipistrel Virus that I fly some is supposed to be out there giving demo rides... it's worth it!

Looks like we're scrubbing this mission.

It's really misty in the GA mountains right now, and that combined with iffy weather coming home Sunday is all conspiring to make this a no-go.

Have fun, guys - maybe we can try for a Sun 'n' Fun meetup!

So what is the verdict? Good Show?

I am especially interested in the Bristell, anyone get a chance to look at it or even have a demo flight>

Very good show; excellent turnout and lots of planes on display (though I'm weathered in at Savanah right now, trying to get home). I got to fly the Bristell, and am very impressed. Performance numbers are about the same as my SportStar (as you would expect, given the LSA rules) but with better fit, finish, room, and comfort. Very solid and stable feel in flight, and not as squirrely in pitch as the PiperSport. I think the Bristell is a winner.

Dave,
Every SportCruiser or PiperSport I've ever flown was much more pitch sensitive than it was roll responsive. As a consequence, it's easy to porpoise them on both takeoff and landing. (I know that's not a problem for you, but it is for inexperienced students.) No such issue with the Bristell; its controls are much better coordinated in all three axes.

I guess I'll appreciate your comment more once I've had a few students show/scare me. In any case, I'm glad to hear your good report on the Bristell. Hopefully the sales figures from Sebring will be encouraging as well.

Paul, thank you for the update. Did you happen to see the ULPower engines? If so do you have an opinion?

UL Power was exhibiting, so I did see it. Don't know enough about it yet to form an opinion. I'd have to talk to some owners and see what kind of maintenance experience they're having.
