Hello from Iowa!

Post by BigPapa64 »

Greetings all,

Im in Iowa, home of endless supply of emergency landing fields. Im nearing retirement. I have a few cross countries in Cessnas as a private pilot student. Im looking into the world of ultralights.

Welcome BigPapa64. I was just visiting Iowa last week (in the Waterloo area) and I couldn't believe the strength of the winds. Is it always like that? If so, I guess you'd be flying ultralights around sunrise every day, but not in the afternoons!

Welcome!
I frequent the Des Moines area as I have 2 adult children living there.
