Shout out from Choppergirl

Hello Party People here at SportPilotTalk...

I usually hang out at HomebuiltAirplanes (https://www.homebuiltairplanes.com/foru ... hp?u=37217) but thought I'd give this place a visit.

My first airplane project is a Volmer Jensen (http://volmerjensen.air-war.org) VJ-24w motorglider (http://dorothy.air-war.org), which I bought off ebay for $38 and am still restoring.

I also bought a Chotia Woodhopper (http://alice.air-war.org) for $99 for the two Chotia B mint new old stock engines.

A friend gave me a Poorboy Ultralight (http://matoonline.com/PoorBoy.htm) in need of some fixing up after being flipped.

I am currently building a 20"x80' flatbed airplane trailer (https://www.homebuiltairplanes.com/foru ... lbumid=747) , to take my airplanes back and forth to my local airport... as well as bring home other ultralight projects.

I made a homemade aircraft data plate for my Victoria ultralight hauling trailer today... using an Engine Stamping Die Kit and a piece of painted aluminum siding. I tried filling in the counter-relief letters with crayon... but black Indian ink worked better and really brought out those dimple corners. Painted over it with gloss clear coat to lock in the coloring.

Taking my airplane going through a Taco Bell Drive through...

I also got the "Taking your airplane through a tunnel" achievement unlock... twice.

How many of you can say you've taken your airplane through a tunnel? :)

Closely related to but not as prestigious as "Flying your Fighter Plane under the Eiffel Tower" achievement.

Airplane was free, so total cost for me was $160 in gas.
I also got a Rotax 503, 66" warp drive prop, and BRS with it (in back of truck).

My trailer performed flawlessly, not one technical problem over 1600 miles getting the Poorgirl home.
