Sport Pilot Talk

Hello I am just starting out I found a deal on a himax aircraft to good to pass up but not shure if it would be a good firs plane my goal is to build a ch701 or Kitfox something with stol.i live in libby mt I’ve flown with friends in ultralight aircrafts and helicopters but never flown my own working on getting my sport license.anyone frome Montana?after I found out you don’t have to be rich to fly I’m hooked for good.
