Greetings all. Haven't flown in over 30 years. Went up in a C172. Worst landings EVER. Unable to stay lined up with runway. IT'S STILL THE GREATEST THRILL EVER! I'm hooked again.

Great, keep it up, it’s like riding a bike. Take a rusty pilot course, nail the landings, get a BFR and you are back in the game..

I'm in Ohio and looking at all the LSA's.

mike: do you qualify for Basic Med or Class 3?

I love LSA but you might want to consider getting back into your comfort and competence zone with something you are familiar with... Then tackle the LSA's.

Jumping to a Rotax, castering nosewheel, non-standard engine controls, glass panels etc. can be a little overwhelming at first.

It took me 2.5 hours in a C162 and I hadn't flown in 8 years. My Remos GX checkout was 1.0 hours. A lot depends on your prior experience.
