Pilot? Student pilot? Future pilot? Interested in learning to fly? If you're reading this forum, you've got flying in your blood! SportPilotTalk is a great place to ask questions about this exciting new segment of (more) affordable aviation!
Steven, if you haven't already done so, be sure to contact the medical gurus at AOPA. You will most certainly be needing to obtain a Special Issuance 3rd Class Medical (which you can then let lapse) if you want to fly under Sport Pilot privileges. But don't count on FAA to guide you through the process. You'll have a much smoother ride with AOPA's assistance.
