Hey there fellow airplane drivers,
Experienced pilot flying since 1979 & sport since '04. Had a Titan Tornado IISS for about five years and will pick up a nearly perfect Arion Lightning in about 3 weeks.

I'll be keeping my eye out here for some comments on the Arion.

In the meantime I'm studying the GRT Sport EFIS manual and the Garmin 37x manual. Anyone know any good video tutorials on these systems?

Hi Captain Bob,

Welcome to the group. I am a fairly new member. The Arion Lightning is at the top of my list. I have spoken with the designer a few times and would love to hear about the plane you are purchasing.

I've only flown this Lightning and another build by a local pilot. I'm an experienced pilot and very much like the flying qualities of this speedy low wing. The saying in aviation that if it looks fast it is...holds true with the Lightning.
I'll have it home in about three weeks and will provide some pilot reports.

Hi, back again and now have a month's worth of flying the Arion Lightning LS-1. WHAT A FUN FLYING AIRPLANE! Cool glass screens (GRT EFIS Sport SX and a Garmin37X) with an autopilot on top of it?
Don't have to touch the stick and just tweek the throttle occasionally and 130kts happens at 5.8 gph. WOW!

.
