Well, for what it's worth -- the school has changed hands (it's now called Infinity Flight Group) and the owner of the old school has put the Storm Century up for sale...just saw it listed on Trade-A-Plane.com.
That's a shame. But this event does make me think about flight schools with sport pilot programs and I am going to make another thread in Hangar Talk related to this event.

Quick update: took (and passed) my PPL checkride yesterday:

Y'all probably should stay out of the air on days that I'm flying.

Hey, now -- I play nice in the sandbox... :)

First flight after getting my license, and it winds up being a "kitty rescue run" between KOWD and KTTN... Promised a high school friend I'd get the cat down to one of her friends who lives near Trenton.

Well Andy congrats. That kitty rescue is a pretty long flight especially for a new pilot at this time of year, weather and short days. How did you coordinate that? Was it challenging?

Why are you here? Again, you find it necessary to insult a large percentage of pilots who come here to discuss and learn flying as Sport Pilots. There are many Private, Instrument, Commercial, ATP, and CFI's on this site, most of whom are much more qualified and experienced than you. You are the only Private pilot that feels some need to insult all the Sport Pilots here. Maybe you should move on to a site that is more in line with your view of your qualifications.
+1.
