Hi,
I just bought a 1947 7BCM. I was wondering if there is a published POH for it. From my own research I do not think there is.

I think that airplanes came with a list of operating limitations in 1947. I am taking tailwheel lessons in a 1942 Cadet right now, which has one of those as its sole official document. Even as late as 1968 they still had manuals, not POHs. POHs became mandatory some time in early 1980s.

Here's a link to some useful Aeronca manuals:

Enjoy your Champ, and fly safely.

So how is that Champ working for you now that you have had it a couple months?? One of the best Minnesota grass strip birds out there, although I am biased. You should look into getting some skis for it, really makes the winter flying that much more fun, if we get snow that is!

I have a 1958 and there is no POH for it, but it has managed to not self destruct after all these years with no POH, imagine that! It must perplex the lawyers out there to imagine an airplane with no manual to put in all those warnings and disclaimers...

I like manuals, but face it - they haven't yet produced one that develops lift.
