Discounts at B-Bar-D aviation

On September 1, 2004 the FAA inaugurated a new pilot certificate dubbed the "sport pilot" that makes learning to fly easier and more affordable that ever. Intended primarily for recreational use, you can now become a pilot with as little as 20 hours of flight instruction! In addition, the FAA also created a new category of affordable "light-sport aircraft"!

Hey guys,

I know a few of you fly the Allegros at the Sanford lee county airport, so I wanted to let you know about a couple deals they currently have going on.

$10 off weekday aircraft rentals and dual flying time.

$10 off your rental or lesson when you pay with cash.

You can only use one or the other, but its still pretty encouraging, And if that's not enough,

If you fly three times before the end of February they will give you a free 2 night hotel stay at one of 50 locations. (haven't gotten the details on this yet.)

Another quick update - I've been working with them pretty closely on things, and they really want to get more people flying, more often. They have two aircraft, the newer of which now has an aileron (roll) trim system that is pretty easy to adjust. I've not had a chance to fly it, but I have seen it and Ross, their cheif flight test engineer has demoed the functionality of it to me. Should allow for easy hands-off flight. I'm going to try and post their information to the board here as there seem to be about 5-7 of us on the board who fly there, and they are going to have some additional specials coming up in March for 'march madness'.

Also, if there is something you'd like to see from the school, special/offer/etc, please send me a private message and let me know. I've got a good relationship there and am happy to make wants or desires aware.
