Hi Kurt and welcome to the forum. I live in Clearwater and Sebring is about a 40 minute flight for me in my SportCruiser. I'll be attending on Thursday or Friday and flying in weather permitting. I go to Sebring often for breakfast (great restaurant on the field) and to pick up parts from Lockwood.

Hello Shawn,

Let me know when you get to Sebring, and lets meet in person. Aside from researching the LSA aircraft, my plan is to attend the seminars that Paul Shuch is giving Thursday through Saturday.

I'll PM you my contact info.

Cheers,

Kurt

Sounds great Kurt. I plan on flying there Thursday or Friday, or both, weather permitting of course. Lots of great seminars this year for sure. It’s a great show with lots of beautiful planes to look at and “try on”. Also a lot of vendors showing off their latest gadgets and accessories for your LSA. Technam is on the field so plan a visit to their hangar but if you want one of their planes bring a large wheelbarrow full of money. Lockwood is also on the field but since you are coming from the “left” coast you’ll probably buy parts and accessories from CPS.

I’ll look for your PM and send you my info as well.

It'll be nice to see you again, Mark. You may have noticed that I missed Expo last year (for the first time ever). I was enroute to OKC for required FAA DPE training - literally enroute, when the course got cancelled due to a government shutdown. And, here we are again!

Can we discuss how you can get me into a Sierra MkII for FREE? No? I'll stop by anyway. Just a beautiful LSA.

Yes I remember that Paul. Hopefully all will go well this year.
Sounds like the Expo is growing so it should be a show.

Shawn, I may not be able to make the MKII free but will do everything I can to get it as affordable as possible.

See you there!

I'd love to make it and combine the trip with a visit to family in Jacksonville, but will be in the middle of a move from San Francisco to Santa Rosa (Sonoma County), so the timing isn't good. I'll make it a point to make the trip next year.

I may try to make this... but this may overlap with my plane being ferry-flown out to California. I’ll have to confirm as the dates get closer. Plus I would want to take a day off (Friday) and possibly fly commercial Thursday evening to spend the day Friday there.

Sorry to cancel, but an unforseen, and unavoidable issue came up. Was truly looking forward to Paul's seminars.

The front pushed through Clearwater overnight and is clearing here this morning. The rain is in Sebring today and clearing this afternoon and tomorrow should be a beautiful day. Planning to fly in if the weather holds.

Thunderstorms and tornado watch all over now, and it's turning into a lovely day at Sebring. So, come on down!
