Stephen,

You're correct about the increases Tecnam presence in Florida. At the Expo a Tecnam rep told me that they're establishing an 'office' at Sebring which should open 'in the next few months'.

Considering this and the large Rotax service and sales presence already at Sebring, it's an important move.

Another thing that gave me more confidence in Tecnam was a long chat with Phil Solomon. He told me that if I had difficulty in finding a local Rotax trained tech he would pay my local mechanic to go through Rotax training. I believe he would and that indicates commitment to me.

I think you're right to look into the Astore, I think it's going to be a super airplane.

Cheers, Howard.

Was this plane demo'd at Sebring?

The Vision, a basic S-LSA with a Dynon panel and Rotax 912, hits the market at $89,500 while the deluxe Spirit Grand Edition has a Garmin panel, autopilot, ADS-B and finished interior for an extra $40,000.

Hello everyone. Did anyone by chance saw Art of Evektor Aircraft? He told me that he was going to Sebring this year.

I thought I heard the 1,200 Hr TBO too, but the ROTAX website shows it as 2,000 Hrs:

Agree, it was a smooth and quiet engine. After start-up, we sat talking in the cockpit in normal voices without headsets. Not possible in some of the competitors...

Yes, he was there, along with Steve Minnich and Jiri from the factory, and they had two Harmony models on display (one with the 912 ULS, the other with a 912iS).

How do you think the 912is engine compares with the 914 turbo? The 912 injected is an improvement although it adds weight.

Do you think the turbo is worth the extra $$ ?

Do you remember what the empty weight of the demo P2008 was? I had it somewhere and I lost it.
