Checkride scheduled

Sport aviation is growing rapidly. But the new sport pilot / light-sport aircraft rules are still a mystery to many flight schools and instructors. To locate a flight school offering sport pilot training and/or light-sport aircraft rentals, click on the "Flight School And Rental Finder" tab above. This is a great place to share ideas on learning to fly, flight schools, costs and anything else related to training.

I'm sure your Recommending Instructor wouldn't have signed you off if you weren't truly ready. So, go in to the practical exam relaxed and confident, and you'll do just fine. There's a lot of info on my DPE website that both you and your CFI might wish to review before the big day: http://SportPilotExaminer.US

Post a message for us all when you have become (briefly) the World's Newest Pilot!

Thank you for the words of encouragement drseti.

I also appreciate the link to the site. A lot of great information there.

Since I drive 2 1/2 hours one way to the airport, I have taken a week vacation time and reserved a motel for 7 days prior to my checkride. This way, I have one week to study and fly non-stop.

Actually, you have six days to study and fly nonstop. The day before your checkride, you should take the whole day off. If you aren't ready by then, you never will be. Take a break, get some rest, treat yourself to a nice dinner out, go to bed early, and wake up relaxed and refreshed. You'll do better on checkride day if you pamper yourself the day before.

It is nice and convenient to have an actual DPE as a moderator that answers questions and assists students.

Hi everyone. I just wanted to update everyone that I passed my check ride on August 23rd.

I now scheduled to train on my Class D, C, and B endorsement starting on Sunday, October 4th.

I will also be completing my Airplane - Single Engine SEA endorsement in May 2021.

Thank you everyone for your help and guidance.

Congratulations! I know both your instructor and examiner. Both are good guys. I signed off Steve's first sport pilot applicant.
