Just because I know everything! That's the same question white people asked blacks back in the Jim Crowe days when they made allegations of discrimination. When a person has been discriminated against, they feel it, they know it, and we form opinions.

In years past, Big Airlines were not interested in training discharged military helicopter pilots unless the trainee filled a "diversity slot." Now that's not true because it's harder for them to find ANY warm body with enough experience. A 10,000 hour army helicopter pilot is a good bet for the airlines now. In the past, a 2,500 hour F-16 pilot would outscore that heli pilot. Now the F-16 people are not as abundant. Supply & Demand.

That's actually a fair and appropriate question. There's nothing wrong with expressing personal opinions on these fora, as long as they're clearly identified as such.

Bryan, there was also a time when the airlines discriminated against those fighter jocks, in favor of those that flew bombers and transports. There was this mentality that they were more suited to airline style flying than those hot shot fighter types. Like they would barrel roll their Boeing or Airbus enroute to their destination. How absurd...
