Solo'd Today

Sport aviation is growing rapidly. But the new sport pilot / light-sport aircraft rules are still a mystery to many flight schools and instructors. To locate a flight school offering sport pilot training and/or light-sport aircraft rentals, click on the "Flight School And Rental Finder" tab above. This is a great place to share ideas on learning to fly, flight schools, costs and anything else related to training.

Solo'd Today

Post by joey4420 »

After waiting for the weather to clear up. Snow and 1000 ft ceilings and it taking almost 2 hours to clear out. The TAF of course said it would be clear by 0930. Finally got to go up and do a few landings with my instructor, then added fuel while he filled out my log book and off I went.

Awesome feeling isn't it ? ... there are tens of thousands of pilots taking off on their own every day, but to me it felt like I really accomplished something :-)

Congratulations !

I have to say it felt great, and some of my best landing. Of course no one but me was there to see them. My instructor was inside Sporty's staying warm.

Well, did you record it today ?

Snakes!

Yes, Joey has one. I have a Factory Five - I built and painted myself! If I could only sell it and buy an airplane!

Posted the video of my pre-checks and taxi... should have the flight up later today.

Mine is a West Coast Cobra with an SVO-460 and Richmond 4+1 Trans, about the most comfortable Cobra money can buy :D it rides better than my Jaguar XF, but way louder.

Nope, I am the slightly older bearded guy who is finally going to enjoy the world of flying.
