First Solo!

Sport aviation is growing rapidly. But the new sport pilot / light-sport aircraft rules are still a mystery to many flight schools and instructors. To locate a flight school offering sport pilot training and/or light-sport aircraft rentals, click on the "Flight School And Rental Finder" tab above. This is a great place to share ideas on learning to fly, flight schools, costs and anything else related to training.

My plan is about the same as yours. Complete sport, fly and tackle my PPL. As I did not start this endeavour until a few months before age 60 - I already have a lot of hours in. So they are saying maybe another 10 -15 hours for PPL.

Good plan. Hang in there and have fun. Life is short.

Congratulations! Awesome feeling, isn't it? And I'm sure the aircraft performed a little better without your CFI on board! Go celebrate by flying more solo flights! It's all sorts of fun when you can leave the pattern and can practice maneuvers on your own. Blue skies!
