New Skycatcher & SP Training now in Jax, FL

Sport aviation is growing rapidly. But the new sport pilot / light-sport aircraft rules are still a mystery to many flight schools and instructors. To locate a flight school offering sport pilot training and/or light-sport aircraft rentals, click on the "Flight School And Rental Finder" tab above. It's only obscure to the extent that most folks (both students and CFIs) miss it, because they're looking only in 61.3xx.
The opinions posted are those of one CFI, and do not necessarily represent the FAA or its lawyers.

Also the requirement for the instrument instruction was not part of the original sport pilot rules. It was added in 2010. However that is no excuse not to keep up with the current rules.
