Thanks David. Really nice airport too. I did not land because of gusts yesterday,
but its very pretty… deli/stores across the street, and supposedly crew car available.

"Houston we have a problem."
A most profound reminder to look outside.
I assure you that this photo was taken in traditional attitude on the ramp…

I can't wait for some student to say, "what's the problem? It's perfectly wings-level."

Autopilot was malfunctioning prior to the inverted attitude... apparently due to an internal G-meter error.

I'm just learning how to read the sky on cross country.
This was a nice scattered layer from Ithaca, NY to Lock Haven, PA,
a very nice ride…

This was the approaching the same area on the way back about 3 hours later.
Clouds are broken, higher, and bigger! Not a very good idea (nor Sport Pilot legal) for "on-top"…

I think I know that particular wind farm, Richard. On your way up to it, you flew directly over my house! (But I wasn't home...)

I know this has been discussed before, but there is nothing illegal about being on top of the clouds as a sport pilot as long as you have visual reference to the surface.

Here's the link for those who want to revisit the "On Top with Visual Reference to the Surface" topic:
