For folks who haven't been on that stretch of FL's Gulf Coast, when you walk barefoot on the beach the sand is so pure that it squeaks underfoot with each step. From Destin to Pensacola, there are some truly beautiful, appealing locations. Just be sure you're talking with Eglin or Pensacola Approach and using the VFR Corridors. The airspace in that entire portion of the Panhandle is densely busy with military, commercial and recreational traffic. (This includes some pretty unusual activity like darkened C-130 Spec Ops a/c out of Hurlburt doing 500' AGL night ops and the occasional B-1 doing low-level transits on the IR routes. Yikes!)
