I have taken two flights now in a Tecnam Super Echo rented from Chesapeake Sport Aviation at W29. This is a superb airplane! It flies like a C172 with power steering - it is effortless to fly, and very responsive. It slips very well, and landings are easy. Stalls are nonevents. The airplane has a 13:1 glide ratio, so attention is required to slow down to 68 kts in the pattern to lower the flaps.
I have about 60 hours in an Evektor Sportstar, and I would say that the Super Echo is easily 5-10 kts faster under the same conditions.
Checked out in Tecnam Super Echo!
Talk about airplanes! At last count, there are 39 (and growing) FAA certificated S-LSA (special light sport aircraft). These are factory-built ready to fly airplanes. If you can't afford a factory-built LSA, consider buying an E-LSA kit (experimental LSA - up to 99% complete).
