Mayonaise window cleaner

Talk about airplanes! At last count, there are 39 (and growing) FAA certificated S-LSA (special light sport aircraft). These are factory-built ready to fly airplanes. If you can't afford a factory-built LSA, consider buying an E-LSA kit (experimental LSA - up to 99% complete).

Mayonaise window cleaner

Post by Cub flyer »

I was reading more in the EAA Vintage airplane magazine and an article mentioned a guy lapping his Stromberg carburetor needle valve. The derlin needles are hard to seal and he was going through the rubbing compounds to lap it in. When he got beyond the compounds he remembered a vinyl top maker suggested Mayonaise to clean and polish the back window in his convertible. It has a little grit and the oils help the plastic.

Wonder if that would work on Lexan? It is hard to keep scratch free.
