Jabiru Factory Tour

Jabiru
Z, looks like the Shelbyville location, me and the wife drove 71/2 hours for the tour when they had their fly-in, walked around and looked at everything for 11/2 hours in both hangers and no on came up to me to ask if I had any questions, someone will be with you in a minute or even acknowledge I was present so I told the wife when we get up in the morning will drive the 71/2 hours home.
Had never seen a Jabiru and wanted to look at one, billet case CNC'd to specs, 120 hp, 6 cylinders. Impressive but not totally sold on it.

Yep, I drove 10 hours last year to the Expo with a check in my pocket for a new SC. They wouldn't give me 1 sec of their time...they were more interested in talking to the older gentleman then taking my money I guess.

From the looks of their "Hi tech production line" I would be suspect of the quality control. I seems to me that almost all these new LSA manufacturers are low buck operations.
I also had the same problem getting anybody to talk to me at Airventure 2007 LSA mall. It seemed If your older and wear a sun hat they are more interested in selling to you. When some of these manufacturers get weeded out over time the ones that survive will be able to afford a better sales force. Hopefully.
Look into a Thorpe T-211. They are well built and fly great with the 120hp Jabiru. Almost over-powered. All metal as opposed to composite.
The only downfall is that they didn't provide a step to help you get up on the wing.
