Lee side - front range - downdrafts

Talk about airplanes! At last count, there are 39 (and growing) FAA certificated S-LSA (special light sport aircraft). These are factory-built ready to fly airplanes. If you can't afford a factory-built LSA, consider buying an E-LSA kit (experimental LSA - up to 99% complete).

Lee side - front range - downdrafts

This cloud depicts the flow. The downdraft zone can be after crossing the last ridge. Right of frame is a highway 5,000' below and then high plains. (Where Clint Eastwood filmed 'High Plains Drifter') The flow is from left to right or west to east.
