A backcountry dream...

Talk about airplanes! At last count, there are 39 (and growing) FAA certificated S-LSA (special light sport aircraft). These are factory-built ready to fly airplanes. If you can't afford a factory-built LSA, consider buying an E-LSA kit (experimental LSA - up to 99% complete).

18 kt stall speed. I want one!

Performance with the 180 hp Titan 340 or Rotax 915 should be awesome, and will still be an S-LSA.

I actually inquired about the new Zlin ... very interesting outcome. Went on the Zlin website and submitted an inquiry about a fully loaded aircraft with the turbo Rotax 914. Got a quote back for 98000 Euro (or some such). When I contacted the US distributor in Arkansas, they are only importing them with the Titan engine and if I remember right it was for over 200k. Looks like a great airplane and the videos look awesome ... but it's going to be Carbon Cub pricing here in the US for it ...

My numbers may not be exact because this was a couple months ago and I'm traveling right now but the basic point is accurate. And YMMV...

Cheers
