Dynon have just announced a 2020 compliant GPS source for their SkyView transponder.

For me it's a very cost effective solution since I'd simply have to plug and play a new GPS source for $590
Dynon announce 2020 compliance solution

Re: Dynon announce 2020 compliance solution
I received the advance trade announcement on this last week (embargoed for release until Oshkosh). Glad the cat is now out of the bag. My question (still unanswered) is whether their new SV-GPS-2020 module can hand off data to other transponders (such as the GTX-330ES) rather than just to their own Mode S module.

Re: Dynon announce 2020 compliance solution
Wait a minute; found the answer:
Can the SV-GPS-2020 be used with non Dynon/AFS
transponders / ADS-B Out devices?
There are no technical limitations that prevent other
transponders or UAT ADS-B Out devices from using
the SV-GPS-2020. It transmits industry-standard RS-232
NMEA output (115,200 baud) with additional integrity
information. However, Dynon Avionics only currently
supports SkyView and AF-5000 based installations.

Re: Dynon announce 2020 compliance solution
Paul
As you posted Dynon will only support their own product which seems sort of fair.
That said the SkyView system ADSB (which I have) is already doing a great job it's just not 2020 compliant. So by replacing the current GPS module with another it now will be.
They say you could use the old GPS as the back but foe me I'm going to have to wait Vans review it and approve it for their SLSA which isn't desperate at the moment.
