I was net surfing and came across an interesting plane, listed as "Ultralight". On further research, it looks like a nice, inexpensive, fun airplane, 65 hp Rotax. Hmmm... how could that qualify as "Ultralight"? More research. Kit form, or factory built. OK. Manufactured by Li'l Hustler Ultralight Aviation in Holland Landing Ontario. OK. Specs include 1200lbs max take-off weight. HUH? Looked up the Canadian definition for Ultralight. Ah-Ha! It appears to be quite a bit different than the USA definition. For us, it looks like this plane would fall into the "Light Sport" category. Still, for around +/- $50K for a finished, flyable, 2-place A/C, not too bad. Thoughts or comments?
