With all the talk about E10 in the Rotax threads...do we know which LSAs are actually E10-approved/friendly/authorized/whatever? I know the Evektors are not (thanks, Prof!), but don't know which ones actually are.
Thanks in advance...

Yep, hence my question...thanks re: Flight Design aircraft.CTLSi wrote:All Rotax engines can burn 91E10. The issue is not the engine. It's the fuel tanks, pumps, fuel lines, and filters in the fuel system on a given aircraft. Ethanol is highly corrosive. All the fuel system parts have to be able to handle that including the caulking, seams, metal parts etc. The Flight Designs are made to use Mogas. The others are in question.
And thanks, Howard!

Tecnam P-92,s Eaglet etc. for sure; and probably all the other metal wing Tecnam's.

The only SportsCruiser POHs I've seen limit Mogas to 5% ethanol. Not terribly available and it doesn't specify whether 'mixing' is allowed.

Remos GX serial number 378 and above have a fuel tank compatible with E10.. Below #378, E10 is not recommended unless the fuel tank is replaced with a current production fuel tank.

Re: E10-approved LSAs?
3i limits the Sky Arrow to no more than 5% ethanol.
I'm lucky to have ethanol-free 93 octane available on the way to the airport.
