Skycatcher Winterization Kit

Talk about airplanes! At last count, there are 39 (and growing) FAA certificated S-LSA (special light sport aircraft). These are factory-built ready to fly airplanes. If you can't afford a factory-built LSA, consider buying an E-LSA kit (experimental LSA - up to 99% complete).

Skycatcher Winterization Kit

Post by Dennis »

OK, I know it is summer and I don't need it for many months. I just want to get some info.

In particular, I'd like to see the baffles that mount with nutplates and limit the air intake area. I can fabricate my own out of aluminum or fiberglass.

I assume there is also insulation on the breather tube, as with other Cessnas.

Any inputs would be appreciated.

Not without a Letter of Authorization from Cessna, if your airworthiness certificate says SLSA.
The opinions posted are those of one CFI, and do not necessarily represent the FAA or its lawyers.
