Agree, that the chute technology saves lives. I wouldn't have wanted to see a dead-stick landing on that site!
However... this video shows what a violent impact still exists with chute use.
Let us not forget that Cirrus has crushable seats to absorb impact forces and reduce risk of spinal injury...
Most LSA's do not have those seats. My seats are foam cushion over metal.
Much heavier gross weight to absorb on Cirrus of course.
Has there ever been a real LSA chute deployment?

I know of 2 LSA type aircraft with chute deployments that were caught on video. I will try and post links tomorrow.

two or three chute deployments in CTs, but no video. They are listed in the BRS database, on their site.

And one that deployed improperly, but they managed to land it.
